Awareness of one’s mental well-being as the key to happiness with Myndoor

Introducing ourselves to “Millionaire”

Our story can be said to stem from a friendship and shared passions: technology and the desire to help people. When Francesco, our CEO, was a pilot for the Navy, he noticed that in that environment the biggest cause of accidents came from stress. Together with his roommate and friend, Alessandro, they started to think of a new and innovative way to provide accurate and predictive information about people’s psychological well-being.
When you are in the military, the focus on the psychological part of the person is limited: you are subjected to and quizzes, which are supposed to measure your state of well-being – but none of the methods used allowed a continuous and realistic analysis of the person’s psychological state.

So what was the most suitable means to address this problem?
Communication was the key: we are people and we have feelings and sensations, let’s always keep that in mind.
Francesco and Alessandro therefore thought of using semantics to be able to analyse the emotional state of candidates during various missions around the world, and for seven years they collected data, in collaboration with scientific bodies and clinics, to be able to recognise a pattern to be applied to what later became the product of Myndoor: an artificial intelligence model.

In this process, collaboration with accelerators was essential.
The Golinelli Foundation was the first to believe in our project – with the Re-Actor programme – and then with the help of InnoVits Gymnasium and later Dpixel we continued on our path, until we created the first product. Starting from the Italian market, we began to collaborate with the first partner companies and to create the first prototypes, but we will soon also open an office in Texas, USA. The concepts of mental health and prevention are in fact more deeply rooted and considered overseas, and after the pandemic there was a boom in requests for help. The goal in the short term is to offer people a tool to know themselves better and prevent the mental symptoms of stress, but this is only the beginning.
